Pale yellow, but a shade darker than Carlsberg. Also very light carbonation. Aroma is not even as assertive as Carlsberg. Still, quite nice, though benign. Very full body. Very malty, but the hops keep the sweetness in check. I think this is the better beer (vs Carlsberg) but I'm hard-pressed to say why. I think the taste is not as benign as Carlsberg, although Carlsberg might have the better balance, Pilsner Urquell being much more malty.
