Overall Impression Dark brown, fairly high carbonation, thick head. Fresh herbal hop aroma. Lots and lots of Cascade flavor! Some roast malt behind that. It's a lot like Sierra Nevada Porter.
Aroma (3) Malty, toasty, hint of chocolate. Spicy, grassy.
Mouthfeel (9) Medium body, smooth. Rich chocolate flavor up front, with lots of toasty malt. Mild grassy hop flavor and bitterness — maybe just a little too much — at the end, but the chocolate never goes away.
Mouthfeel (8) Medium body, fizzy. Chocolate maltiness up front, followed by a moderate grassy hop bitterness. Mildly astringent. Dry, chocolatey finish.
Mouthfeel (10) Big beer. Richly malty and really hoppy with a resiny, piney, earthy hop flavor. Fairly big bitterness, although the hop character doesn't taste as intense as it smells.
Mouthfeel (10) Big and smooth. Very malty, chocolatey, with .lots of coffee. Nice resiny bitterness. Comparable to Redhook Double Black Stout, but even more robust and well-balanced.
Aroma (3) Caramel with a hint of roast and some banana. Maybe just a hint of clove.
Mouthfeel (9) Medium body. Fizzy. Very nicely malty, with a big toasty, caramelly character. Mild banana flavor. Sweet, clean finish, with a nice roasty note.
Mouthfeel (9) Medium body, with a mouth-filling creaminess. Piney, fruity hop flavor grabs your tongue. Big malt background supports the hops. Mild earthy note. Peppery finish.
Overall Impression Golden amber, high carbonation, thick head. Grainy, hoppy aroma. Smooth, medium body, malty, some fruity hop flavor. Fruity mildly bitter finish. (Boulevard doesn't brew this beer anymore.)
