D.J. Hack describes Baumgartner's "Pingobeer" as:

...slightly diluted carmelized corn syrup that is added by the drop (pingo) to turn your regular beer into "dark".

In that regard, it sounds like a consumer version of Weyermann Sinamar®, except that Sinamar is made of malt rather than corn syrup.
