Oregon's oldest microbrewery. Big place...an ex-warehouse. No barstools when I visited in 1993! It's now owned by the same folks who own Spoetzl Brewery of Austin TX, makers of Shiner Bock.
BridgePort BrewPub reopened in February 2006 after an extensive remodeling.

Black, with garnet highlights. Dense tan head. Rich chocolate aroma, and roasty. Medium-big body, real smooth. Real roasty, too. Fairly bitter, both from the hops and from the roasted grain. Lingering black finish.

Very clear, red-amber. Spicy and caramel aromas. Spicy hop flavor. Prickly compared to cask version. Great body and finish.
