Tanglehead's Allan Kelly notes:

"tanglehead" was the nickname of the first beer brewed in Albany in the 1830's. Albany has a long history of brewing during the 19th century with up to 7 local breweries operating at one time. Albany has very similar chemistry to Burton, making it a great place to brew all types of ales.
