H&H brewer Kevin Eichelberger and I spent some time at Siebel together. The third location in the Hereford & Hops empire, this one is located just off the I-39 Sherman Street exit, right next to the Marriott Courtyard. Be advised that there is no off-ramp from southbound I-39 to Sherman Street. It might be easiest to continue on to the next exit (NN) and do a u-turn. You can't miss it; it's a big northwoods lodge-type building that you can see from the freeway. The massive brewhouse visible from the main bar is the source of their ten beers, up to three of which rotate throughout the year. (These rotating special beers are where Kevin's talents are really allowed to shine.) The pub menu features a wide range of appetizers, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees, but the dining room is where Hereford & Hops signature "grill your own steak" action happens.

Deep bright red, thick head. Cinnamon and clove aroma; the combination reminds me a lot of allspice. Medium-light body. Spices work well on the rich malt background...cinnamon and cloves are the most prominent. There's also some bitter orange peel and cardamom, according to Kevin.
