Sand Creek acquired Pioneer Brewing in 2004 and subsequently closed their brewery in Downing and moved into these premises. They'll continue to brew all of the Pioneer brands, and they brew beers under contracts for quite a few companies.

Sand Creek hosts an Octoberfest every year on the first Saturday in October.
