Sorry to hear we closed last year, someone should have told me. Think of all the fishing I could have been doing.

The brewing equipment was sold to Base Camp Brewing in March 2011.

      Bright golden. Moderate head. Big diacetyl aroma. Light body. Big fresh grainy maltiness, with lots of butter, and lots of DMS. (Yes, the style guidelines do say that "moderate" diacetyl is acceptable.)

      Golden, slight haze, moderate head. Skunky odor, with hints of grainy malt and some DMS. Light body. Skunky. Nice grainy malt flavor behind the skunk. Lots of corn flavor (DMS).

      Very nice bright dark brown. Thick beige head. Malty aroma, with subtle hints of roast. Light body, fairly fizzy. Nice and roasty and reasonably malty. Some spicy Saaz hops compete with DMS in the finish. Best Nicolet beer yet. (Except for the diacetyl as it warms.)

      Deep dark red. Thick head. Smells intensely buttery. Medium body. Tastes intensely buttery. Sweet, with hints of roast and dark caramel. Finishes intensely buttery, with quite a bit of DMS.

      Bright golden-amber, thin head. Mild malt aroma with spicy hops. Light body, malty, faint flash of hop flavor, clean finish. Not a bad beer, but way too light for the style.
