    • Date: September 30, 2005 (#5775)
      Package: bottled
      Place: Liquid Solutions, Tigard OR
      Score: 19½ points
      Appearance (3)
Bright golden. Incredibly high carbonation. Massive head.
      Aroma (4)
Fresh malt. Clean spices. Hint of ginger.
      Mouthfeel (9½)
Light body. Fiercely fizzy. Nice malty base supports lots of spicy flavors. Alcohol warming is present but not powerful, making this a tasty and subtle beer.
      Overall Impression (3)
Excellent beer, but not as complex as I was expecting. It's brewed in Belgium, then conditioned in France as a champagne.

I've referred to this beer as the best Tripel I've ever had, but this bottle ain't quite it.
