Jackson gives this brewery's Singha beer favorable mentions in his New World Guide and Beer Companion. Boon Rawd has begun production of its Hartmannsdorfer brand in the first of ten planned microbreweries.

      Yellow, fizzy, big head. Aroma has lots of mercaptans...not much else. Taste gives a lot of mercaptans, an overbearing sticky sweetness, and a harsh bitterness. I've had fresher Singha.

      Golden, high carbonation, big head. Sweet, perfumey, vegetal aroma. Very light, very high carbonation. Sweet, then nothing. For a clean beer, it's very very clean. Labelled "malt liquor".
