Date: October 27, 2002 (#4495)Package: real alePlace: TrimB's Restaurant, Appleton WIScore: 17 pointsOverall Impression (3)
Deep dark red-brown, moderate head. Very oaky aroma, with toffee, hops, and some solvent. Very light body. Big oaky flavor, darkly walnut-like. Quite astringent. Some toasty malty notes, and some mildly bitter hop notes in the finish. Too light for an "Old Ale", but it's a Real Nice Dark Mild. -
