Blitz-Weinhard was owned by G.Heileman, which in 1997 was purchased by Stroh, which was purchased by Pabst and Miller in 2000. This historic brewery was torn down to make room for some condos or something. Henry's brands were brewed at the old Olympia plant, which Miller shut down at the end of 2002. Henry Weinhard Hefeweizen, Northwest Blonde Lager, and Amber Light are now brewed by Full Sail in Hood River OR; the Private Reserve and Ale are brewed by Miller in Irwindale CA and Fort Worth TX.

Black, thick head. Noticeable hazelnut aroma, but not overpowering. Good body, burnt, sweet. The hazelnut flavor doesn't work with the stout flavor at all.
