Formerly a brewpub on Telegraph Avenue, Bison closed their restaurant to concentrate on making beer and hard ice tea. In 2009, they moved all of their production to Mendocino Brewing in Ukiah.

      Spicy, malty. Lots of toffee, hints of roast.

      Big body, really smooth. Lots of sweet caramel malt along with a big spiciness. Very nice toffee character. Fairly bitter, but very well-balanced.

      Medium-big body, fairly fizzy. Lots of malt. Earthy. Spicy. Some coriander-citrus character. Mildly warming. Clean finish with a hint of hop flavor.

      Pour carefully: it's a bottle-conditioned beer.
