South Shore burned down on April 1, 2000. Reconstruction began almost immediately, and South Shore's Erin Lyons reports:

Our new restaurant will be opening around April 18, 2001. Brewing should be up and running before that. Stop in and check out our "new" brewery and antique bar.

I did so and found it to be a beautiful century-old building with fine beer and terrific food!
