The beers aren't bad, but they're served VERY cold. The brewhouse is the showpiece, situated behind glass in the center of this three-story, century-plus-old building.

Deep red-brown, moderate head. Mildly toasty aroma. Medium body, vegetal flavor like wet green malt. Mildly roasty and chocolatey.

Bright red, moderate carbonation and head. HUGE spicy hop aroma! Medium-big body, very tasty spicy hop flavor and bitterness. Goes down smooth, creamy, and bitter. One of the few beers I've tasted on this trip that's served at a reasonable temperature. This beer is so spicy and hoppy, the bartender couldn't get anyone else at the bar to buy one. (Although a number did avail themselves of small samples.) For my part, I had eight or nine of them, killing time before my flight.
