      Appearance (3)
      Beautiful deep red. Moderate head.
      Aroma (3½)
      Caramel malt, a little earthy. Very mild floral hops.
      Mouthfeel (10)
      Medium body, smooth, almost chewy. Big caramel, toasty malt all the way through, reasonably sweet. Floral, grassy, slightly resiny hop flavor, low bitterness. Real nice balance in the finish.
      Overall Impression (3)
      Infinitely more character than most Irish Red Ales.
