Deep deep bright red. Thick dense tan head. Roasty aroma, with lots of chocolate and maybe just a hint of hops. Medium-big creamy body. Hugely malty and really roasty, with lots and lots of chocolate. Mildly sweet and mildly warming. Lingering roasty-malty finish.

Chocolate. Oak. Mild whiskey. Lots of dark malt.

Big body, low carbonation. Lots of malt supports lots of chocolate. Some alcohol, mild whiskey flavor. Some vanilla, mild oak character. Finishes malty and chocolatey and a little thin.

Overall Impression (2)
Pretty good beer. Aged in Woodford Reserve whiskey barrels. Thanks to KJ Harnack for the bottle!
