Their Downtown Brown is about the best Brown around. Be sure to check out Humboldt Brewing while you're there...these two breweries were the impetus for my 1992 Beer Odyssey.

Located at 617 Fourth Street until 2014.

Dark bright red. Huge dense head. Big spicy hop aroma, with some toasty malt and just a hint of DMS. Medium body, moderately fizzy. Richly malty with lots of spicy hops. More malty-sweet than hop-bitter. It's been a long time, but it's still the Best Brown Around.
