Wendy Tucciarone passes along the details of the brewpub they built after I left Hawaii:
On tap at Kona Brewing Company guests will find nearly a dozen flavorful ales and lagers. The beers are served up alongside gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches and pupus inside the high-ceilinged bar or outdoors on the lush lanai. The pub boasts an extensive retail area with plenty of souvenirs to take back home, and brewery tours are available daily. Kona Brewing Company is Hawaii's largest brewery.
Kona Brewing also has a restaurant and pub in Honolulu at Koko Marina, 7192 Kalaniana'ole Highway.

Golden-amber, hazy, low carbonation, good head. Aroma similar to Pacific Golden (19-1545) but more intense. Good body, maybe even too thick. Bitter finish, but cloying aftertaste. Again, inconsistent...although Really Good bottles seem hard to find. -
