Under new management since 1997, and again since 2005. I last visited Hogshead in August 1995. Not as bad as it used to be, but there's a lot of good beer in the other Sacramento brewpubs. In Hogs We Trust.

Comments: I am the new general manager and brewer at the Hogshead Brewpub in Old Sacramento. I hope you will come on down for another try. We still have all the rustic charm but the beer and service are both getting much better! Try my new Red Rabbit Ale...it's a little hoppy.

Then I heard in 2005 that Hogshead is under new ownership yet again.

Directions: Follow the freeway signs to "Old Sacramento", park in the garage, and wander around the antique stores until you find Hogshead. (Old Sacramento only covers a few square blocks, and it's worth a few minutes' wandering.)
