Formerly Baltimore Brewing.

Good lagers here! Rick Garvin says "If there's a bad beer here, I'm walking home"...a 45-mile hike. The brewhouse is out in the open, right behind the bar, and there was a batch of Dunkles brewing while we were there.

Baltimore Brewing became DeGroen's Grill in 2002.

Light brown, thick head. Faintly toasty aroma. Medium body, big toasty malt flavor, drying.

Shade darker than Märzen. Aroma not assertive at all. Smooth. Caramel. Bitter, but not like the Pils. Maybe I expected a dark version of the Pils.

Amber and foamy. (Looks like a trend, after the Pils.) Aroma? Hard to tell. We're right by the open brewhouse, and he just added hops. Malty? Spicy? Big. Chewy. Fine balance. Good bitterness.

Yellow and foamy. Good hop nose, but faint. Bitter! Wonderful body. Extremely bitter.
