  • 4.50% abv.
    • Date: February 24, 2022 (#10926)
      Package: bottled
Place: Wine, Beer, and Spirits Grand Island, Grand Island NE
      Score: 15 points
      Appearance (3)
      Black. Big dense head.
      Aroma (3)
      Chocolatey, malty, roasty.
      Mouthfeel (7)
Light body, fizzy. Almost kinda thin. Roast malt and grassy-floral hops, low-medium bitterness. Fairly chocolatey all the way through.
      Overall Impression (2)
Actually pretty tasty in the context of the Irish Dry Stout style plus the typically low alcohol content of English beers. Sadly, it developed noticeably diacetyl as it warmed. Part of the Iron Maiden series.
