Red-brown, pretty clear, good head. Smells like tropical fruit. Good body, sweet-ish. Pretty good fruity hop flavor all the way through. Unexpectedly clean finish.. Thanks to Chuck Farnham for the bottle!

Amber-brown. Floral-spicy nose. Big floral hop flavor. OK body. Long bitter-floral finish.

Amber, thick white head, moderate carbonation. Some grapefruit aroma and a little smoke. Good body, nice and malty. Real nice balance, not too bitter and not too sweet. Not as all-around-big as Anchor Steam, but it's a pretty good beer. Thanks to Chuck Farnham for the bottle!

  • Scottish-Style Export Ale

      Package: bottled
Place: Willow Glen Liquors, San Jose CA
      Score: 17 points

Deep dark red, high carbonation, not a lot of head. Very smoky aroma. Fairly big body, nice dark maltiness, and a fair bit of smoke. Sweetness grows throughout the finish. Compare this one to Broadway's draught version. Thanks to Chuck Farnham for the bottle!
