I'm considering getting rid of The 'Beer Me!' Forum.*

There are literally twenty spammers signing up for every one legitimate forum post, and I'm getting tired of cleaning up these turds.

Register your approval or objections by voting in this poll, and feel free to leave comments.

The poll will be open for 60 days, until 23 July 2010.

*Not to be confused with The 'Beer Me!' Blog.

Hi:  I like beer.  I really don't consider myself an expert, by any means, but I know what I like.  It's been fun to list stuff I find now & then, but if the site is a problem/headache for you to run, who needs more problems in their life???   Think about it, do what you think is right.  P.S.  I'm drinking a Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock right now.  Found it while on vacation last week.  A bit sweet, but a very good beer.  Says they've made beer since the year 1050.  I guess they had time to prefect the recipe by now...

Thanks for your thoughts. And I have been enjoying reading your beer notes, even though I haven't responded to all of them. I got to taste the Asam-Bock about five years ago; I agree that's it's a good beer, but not a great one.

By the way, I'm investigating automated methods of spam control. If I find something that works, I'll post it here.

have fun

Three votes?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

Well, that doesn't stop me.............I still like good beer................

I tried a couple new ones:

Warsteiner Oktoberfest--- Kinda disappointed, tasted more like most lagers, but still good.

Silver City "Whoop Pass" double IPA,  this is a nice ale.  been trying different IPA's lately, and this one has a nice hop taste.  Not a really over-powering of hops, so most people will like it.  Says they use over 50 lbs Cascade & Columbus hops per 15 barrel batch.  That sounds like a lot.  Can't go wrong with that!!

Yeah, three votes. (And one of them was mine.)

I did find some auto-spam-killing software, and it has cut down the number of scum from about twenty to two or three that I have to deal with every morning. So we'll see how it goes from here.

Warsteiner Oktoberfest: not a bad beer, but nothing like the Bavarian examples. Then again, the Bavarian examples have been getting lighter over recent years, and they're not much different from Helles beers now.

I haven't had a chance to try Silver City's beers yet, but I've heard good things about them.

have fun
