      Pretty much black. No head.

      Huge sweet-sour aroma, with some toffee. Malty, Brettanomyces, black cherries.
      Mouthfeel (8)
      Light-medium body, almost still. Feels thin. Sweet dark malt, mildly tart, with a nice black cherry flavor.
      Overall Impression (2)
      Tasty and complex, but it could use a bit more heft.

      Brown-black, opaque. Massive rocky head.
      Aroma (3½)
      Huge black licorice. Spicy. Alcoholic.
      Mouthfeel (8)
      Thick. Chewy. Malty and roasty. Licorice. Citrus. Mild alcohol. Mild spicy hop flavor, low bitterness. Nicely spicy esters. A little yeasty.
      Overall Impression (2½)
      Good complex beer, just a little stale.

      Damn near black. Dense brown head.
      Aroma (4)
      Molasses. Allspice.
      Mouthfeel (10)
      Big and thick and sweet. Huge molasses flavor with a big dark maltiness. Spices are subdued. Not a lot of alcohol flavor, but it's fairly warming.
      Overall Impression (3)
      Real tasty beer. "Ale brewed with spices", brewed in 2006.

      Big body, low carbonation. Really smooth. Tasty sweet dark maltiness. Spices are subdued. Lots of dark fruit. Alcohol lurks dangerously in the background.

      "Ale brewed with spices."
