Captain Tony's is one of the stranger breweries I have visited. I was visiting clients in Beachwood and they assured me that although there was a Captain Tony's Pizza nearby, there were no breweries, least of all there. The place proved to be in an office park, on the ground floor of a green glass office building. It was on the street side, but since the building was set far back from the road it was effectively invisible from both the street and parking lot. I guess they do okay during the week, but on Saturday evening, the place was empty. There was nothing to indicate that they brewed beer until I asked. It turns out the brewer was a friend of the owner and had persuaded him to install a two barrel system in the back room. Whenever they ran out of a batch of beer, apparently, they brewed another two barrels. Their "flagship" brand, Pale Al (yes, Al), was not available, because Porter was on at the time. It was good that I had a time finding the place, because both the pizza and porter were pretty much forgettable.
