Beer List

    • Date: September 21, 2006 (#6104)
      Package: draught
      Place: at the brewery
      Score: 17 points
      Appearance (3)
      Red, some haze. Moderate head.
      Aroma (3)
      Nice fruity hops.
      Mouthfeel (9)
Medium-big body, smooth. Really big grassy, resiny hop flavor and just possibly the most bitter beer we've tasted on this trip. Real nice caramel malt for balance.
      Overall Impression (2)
As an English Bitter, it's too sweet, too heavy, and too bitter, but it's a Damn Tasty Beer.

Deep golden, some haze. Lots of carbonation with a thick head.
      Aroma (3)
      Some graininess, some noble hops.
      Mouthfeel (8)
Medium body, really fizzy. Lots of light Munich malt flavor. Hint of noble hop flavor. Finishes really clean.

      Overall Impression (2)
This, not the Red, is the hoppiest beer of the trip.
