  • Traditional German-Style Bock
    7.00% abv.

  • American-Style Amber/Red Ale
    • Date: January 12, 2009 (#7652)
      Package: draught
      Place: at the brewery
      Score: 16 points
      Appearance (3)
      Red-amber, opaque. Thick head.
      Aroma (3)
      Intense caramel, mildly bready.
      Mouthfeel (8)
Medium body, smoothly malty. Lots of caramel, with a fruity, grassy hop flavor. Not bitter at all. Sweetly malty-fruity finish.
      Overall Impression (2)
Good beer, but I can see why the locals don't get it. Dobler says it's not really an ale, but it's made with ale ingredients. "People here don't understand ales."
