The entrance to the Gasthaus-Brauerei is near the corner of Stegstrasse and Kreuzstrasse, not actually on Florhofstrasse. The prices on the menu seem rather high, but that appears to be epidemic in Switzerland. A small (200-ml) glass of beer goes for CHF 3.40; the 400-ml version costs CHF 5.50. Brewer Andreas told me that all of the beers are brewed from organically-produced ingredients according to the Reinheitsgebot except for the Hanf and the occasional lemongrass or cinnamon specialty beer.

The beer just flies out of here at lunchtime! They pour more beer in fifteen minutes than we do all afternoon.

The assistant brewer/bartender (whose name I didn't catch) said that they'd like to brew a more diverse range of beers, but that Swiss people only want to drink Pils. That's pretty much verbatim what the brewer at Max & Moritz told me about his customers.
