The brewery was closed down in January 1998; Wild Goose then operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Frederick. The company was acquired in May 2006 by Flying Dog Brewery for $1,400,000. In January 2007, Flying Dog closed their Denver brewery and moved all of their operations here.
F.X. Matt Brewing purchased the Flying Dog brands in 2023 and is moving all the production to their brewery in Utica NY.
