Restaurant remains open.

Upstairs/downstairs/inside/outside seating. No rail on the bar, no beermats. Full bar upstairs. Weird menu...lots of seafood entrees, but if you want some cow, you're pretty much restricted to a burger. Nothing on the beer engine...yet. No T-shirts...yet. No Belgian Ales...yet. Samplers $1, pints $3. Directions: 405 to Wilshire/Westwood exit. Left on Westwood, right on Kinross. Westwood is on the left side of the street at the corner of Glendon.Westwood's Ben Madden informed us in March 2001 that the brewery had shut down, but the restaurant was still open.

Dark yellow opaque, good head. Bubble gum aroma. (Good old 4-vinyl-guaiacol.) Banana flavor. Pretty smooth and tasty. Low-but-adequate carbonation. SERVED WITHOUT LEMON!!!

Golden, very very low carbonation. Malty, fresh nose. Pilsner-style character. More interesting than, say, Redondo Beach Blonde. Pretty good bitterish finish.

  • English-Style (Extra Special) Strong Bitter

Red-amber, OK head. Grapefruity aroma. Good body, some crystal sweetness, some grapefruity notes.

  • Brown Porter

Dark dark brown opaque. Good head. Pretty clean aroma. Big and chewy, but oddly light on flavor. Honey sweetness is evident but not offensive.

  • Classic Irish-Style Dry Stout
