Roasty, malty, with some alcohol. Raisins and molasses, but not real sweet.

Thick and sweet and roasty. Alcohol, but it sure doesn't feel like 10%. Chocolate, roasted malt. Grassy.

Overall Impression (2½)
Nice strong beer.

Medium body, surprisingly creamy. Grainy, malty, sulfury. Grassy hops, medium bitterness. Sweetish, malty, reasonably bitter finish.

Not bad at all.

Pretty good beer. Sticke flavor in a normal-strength Altbier.

This would be a good hot-weather beer.
