Mehana also brews Roy's Private Reserve for Roy's Restaurants, and they came up with Tsunami Lager after I left Hawaii. Now they fill growlers out of their six rotating taps.
Hawai'i Nui was formed in 2009 through the merger of Mehana and Keoki.

Yellow opaque, OK head, very low carb. Some hop aroma, very slightly spicy. Malty-sweet, OK bitterness. Pretty clean finish, but a bit yeasty. -

Golden, some haze, very low carbonation and head. Cascade aroma, with malt. Pretty chewy, malty flavor and finish. Reminds me of Full Sail Golden Ale. Needs more hop flavor.

Brown-red, low head. Chocolatey aroma. Good body, nice chocolatey-roasty flavor. OK bitter finish. -

Red-amber, OK head. Caramelly aroma, hints of chocolate and spice. Big carbonation bite, otherwise pretty smooth. Some roasted barley in the background. Reasonably well-balanced.
