Amber, moderate carbonation, low head. Smells like melted butter. Fruity diacetyl maltiness all the way through. Strangely well-balanced.

Dark red-brown, moderate carbonation, OK head. Smells sweaty. Sweet, black, some roasty flavor in the middle. Strange yet familiar hop flavor...I wonder if Samuel Smith's uses this Bramling Cross variety.

      Overall Impression (2½)
Amber-brown, moderate carbonation, very little head. Smells of fusels, diacetyl. Lots of diacetyl taste, with a bit of "Smith's" flavor. Good body, fairly smooth, but astringent at the end. I don't know...maybe it would grow on you. "Oatmeal, crystal, and pale malts...whole leaf Golding hops".
