    • Date: November 28, 2020 (#10396)
      Package: bottled
      Place: Place unknown
      Score: 18 points
      Appearance (3)
Beautiful bright red. Thick dense head.
      Aroma (3)
      Oaky, grassy. Vanilla.
      Mouthfeel (9)
Thick, smooth. Huge rich malt all the way through, toasty and grassy. Oak and vanilla builds through the finish. There's a flash of alcohol in the middle, but the malt hides it well. Maybe the slightest hint of floral hop flavor, with no discernable bitterness. Just a little lagery sulfur in the finish.
      Overall Impression (3)
Really well-balanced, smooth-drinking beer. Thanks to Jay Jackson for the bottle!
