Fremont closed in 1998, but they're said to be seeking a new location. The current management took over the old Brewpub-on-the-Green from Bill Owens. (Some of the old management took over Buffalo Bill's.). Beers are average to good, with generally high alcohol contents. Good food, reasonable prices and service.
Directions: 880 into Fremont. Take the Stevenson Boulevard exit and go east. Fremont Brewing is a couple of miles along on the right, not far past Fremont Boulevard.
