Annual Production: 300,000 bbl

Hurricane Katrina flooded Dixie with ten feet of water in 2005. Owners Joe and Kendra Bruno plan to reopen the brewery in time for its 100th anniversary in 2007. In the meantime, their beers are being brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery in Monroe WI.

      Golden, good carbonation and head. Malty aroma, a bit fruity. OK body, a little thin. Sweet. Slightly metallic finish.

      This is a Red Beer. Good carbonation, OK head. Caramel malt aroma, slightly spicy hops. OK body, but very subdued flavors. Sweet, phenolic. Not awful, but not enjoyable.
