Historical notes from Jacob Sjúrður Hansen:
Until 2003 C.C.A. had a total monopoly of the beer market in Guatemala. In 2003 the world’s biggest brewing group, Brasilian-Belgian InBev, established a brewery in Quetzaltenango. InBevs "Brahva" beer has taken a lot of market shares from C.C.A.’s "Gallo" beer.

Yellow, pale, low carbonation, good head. Malty aroma, a little spicy. Strange malty-sweet flavor, smoky yet not smoky. (Paris says "garbanzo beans"...maybe it's DMS?) A little warming at the end.
