Light-medium body, smooth. Lots of butterscotch. Mild fruity, grassy hop flavor, low bitterness. Way too much diacetyl.

Overall Impression (1)
"Statuesque lager...best before 01/01/09". That explains it.

Intense wood, some alcohol.

Mouthfeel (10)
Big, smooth, and malty. Nicely black. A bit of whisky burn, but well-balanced.

Overall Impression (3)
Good beer. Aged in Glen Grant 1970 single malt scotch whisky casks.

Alcohol. Fruity. Mild smoke.

Big, smooth, malty, black. Dark fruity. Lots more alcohol aroma than flavor.

Overall Impression (2)
Excellent Imperial Stout, but the wood/sherry character is subdued. Aged in 1987 Macallan sherry casks.
