Aroma (4) Huge fruity — not citrusy — hops. Nice grassy rye in the background.
Mouthfeel (10) Medium creamy body, really smooth. Big malt base, with caramel and rye flavors. Huge fruity hop flavors and esters, with a somewhat-bigger-than-mild bitterness that lingers in the finish.
Mouthfeel (8) Light body, creamy. Very toasty, earthy, a bit tannic. Fruity hop flavor, low-medium bitterness. Very dry finish with lingering fruity hops.
Mouthfeel (10) Big and chewy. Hugely malty, roasty, sweet, with a big coconut-oak flavor. Mild grassy hop flavor, not all that bitter. Some alcohol in the finish.
Mouthfeel (9) Medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet, toasty, dark caramel malt, a little grainy. Earthy, grassy hop flavor, just bitter enough for balance. Clean, grassy, dark-malty finish.
Mouthfeel (9) Big body, low carbonation. Hugely malty, with a nice toffee flavor. Spicy, fruity hops, with more bitterness than a typical Strong Scotch Ale. Noticeable alcohol will probably mellow with age, but this batch likely won't last long.
Appearance (3) Bright mahogany color, a bit darker than the Düsseldorfer brews. Dense head.
Aroma (3) Cleanly malty, with a hint of noble hops.
Mouthfeel (8) Medium body, fairly fizzy. (Tyson says it's undercarbonated.) Malty, toasty, woody. Very mild hints of dark fruit. Mildly bitter, with a clean finish.
Mouthfeel (10) Big and smooth and malty. Nicely sweet and nicely balanced with an earthy-spicy hop flavor and a tasty bitterness. Only a little warming, with the hop character lingering in the finish.
Mouthfeel (10) Medium body, fizzy but smooth. Really malty with a big grassy, fruity (grape?) hop flavor. Not as much alcohol as I expected. Nicely sweet and malty. Clean, fruity finish.
Appearance (3) Red-brown, some haze. Moderate head.
Aroma (3½) Really toasty. Grassy.
Mouthfeel (7) Medium body, moderate carbonation. Huge toasty malt flavor, with a big contribution from dark Munich malt. Pretty grainy. Grassy bitterness, grainy finish.
Mouthfeel (10) Big and chewy. Fruity bitterness with lots of oak. Peaches and dill, which sounds awful but isn't. Alcohol dries out the finish, which would be intensely toasty-malty otherwise.
Aroma (3½) Nicely smoky and clean. Sweet and black.
Mouthfeel (8) Medium body, smooth. Tasty chocolate and malt and a mildly smoky character. Nicely balanced and almost assertive enough smoke-wise. Finishes chocolatey and pretty sweet, with some vanilla.
Mouthfeel (9) Medium body, smooth. Mild nutmeg (etc) spice, mild pumpkin flavor. Good toasty-biscuity base beer that isn't overwhelmed by the groceries.
Overall Impression (3) I'm told I got the last pint from the cask.
