Overall Impression Swedish "blåbärs" means "blueberry" in English. Very Very Red, clear, huge purple head! Smells a little smoky - again - with a touch of berries. A reasonably malty, reasonably bitter, reasonably beer-like beer, with a reasonable amount of fruit flavor. Sweet-tart finish, almost like a cider. Thanks to Jojje Bredenberg for the beer...he calls it an "interesting product". Swedish correspondent Anders Lundquist notes: Just a note on the name: this, I'm quite sure, is an intentional play on words. While "blåbärs" means "blueberry" (possessive(?) form actually, so you'd want something after it, such as blåbärsöl (bluberry beer)), it is also the case that "bärs" (pronunced differently) is a slang word for beer, so "blåbärs" = "blue beer".
