Formerly located in Denmark WI, Green Bay Brewing moved to downtown Green Bay's "Brewery District" in 1999. More to the point, they're just three blocks from my old house, and I've downed quite a few enjoyable pints there!

Reddish, hazy, moderate carbonation and head. Blast of caramel malt aroma followed by a BLAST of spicy hops. Big body, richly malty, big hop flavor and bitterness. Fairly oaky, but not as oaky as the Marzenbier. Mildly warming. What will it taste like in 2002?

      Package: draught
      Place: at the brewery
      Score: 16 points
      Overall Impression
Bright deep red, massive dense pinkish head. Intense perfumey raspberry aroma. Light-medium body, creamy-yet-fizzy, surprisingly mild raspberry flavor on a big malty background with a nice dose of noble hops. Despite the name, there's no "Belgian" character here - more like a good German lager with a shot of fruit.

Bright amber. Thick head. Rich grainy malt aroma with some DMS. Real chewy, hugely malty, with a nice touch of alcohol. Mildly sweet richly malty finish.
