Ruppaner is the "local" beer of Konstanz. The attached restaurant has a magnificent view of the Überlingersee, and it's a great place to relax and have a beer or three. It's an easy 700-meter walk from the Staat-Autofähre bus stop on the #1 line. Beers run between €2 and €3 depending on size.

Chocolatey, really toasty. Some noble hops.

Mouthfeel (9)
Medium body, really smooth. Big toasty-sweet Munich malt character with hints of raisins. Mild bitterness.

Best beer of the day.

Hefe Weizen Dunkel

South German-Style Dunkel Weizen/Weissbier

Very mild Munich malt.

Mouthfeel (7)
Medium body, creamy and fizzy. Some caramel along with a big grainy maltiness. Very little yeast character. Some Munich malt flavor.

Very mildly yeasty and bready.

Light body, fizzy. Really malty with lots of wheat flavor. Banana character is very subdued.

Light body, fiercely fizzy. Lots of wheat flavor. Mild noble hops. Fairly sweet. No estery character at all.

^*Served with a slice of lemon in the beer.

Yellow, very slight haze. Thick dense head.

Aroma (3)
Big fresh grainy malt. Mild noble hop.

Mouthfeel (9)
Light-medium body, fizzy and creamy. Lots of grainy, mildly sweet malt. Huge noble hop flavor, fairly bitter. Just like the Pils, but with more character. The sulfur seems a bit more subdued, which is surprising.

A naturtrübes Pils.

Light-medium body, fizzy. Big grainy, mildly smoky malt flavor. Bigger noble hop flavor than the Edel-Pils, but not as bitter, not as sulfury.
