This brewery was opened in 1979 for the brewing of Tuborg beers and later on also Carlsberg beers for western Denmark and all the soft drink brands of the Carlsberg group. From 2008 the Carlsberg brewery in Valby, Copenhagen, will close and move all the beer productions of the Carlsberg, Tuborg and Wiibroe brands to Fredericia. The name of this brewery is to change to "Carlsberg Fredericia".
